I graduated from the University of Richmond in 2022 with a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology with Honors. I am a DMV native and have been living in the area since graduation to work as a medical assistant during my gap years before medical school.

Growing up first-generation and low-income, I never had the luxury of traveling internationally, except for visiting my mother’s homeland of the Philippines. On January 1st, 2024, I booked a round-trip flight to London and planned a solo trip to the UK, Portugal, and Spain for April 2024. A friend later joined, who shared a similar background and a lack of international travel experience prior to this trip.

Despite being a woman in STEM, I have always had interests in photography, fashion, and writing. I wanted to utilize this creative outlet to share my budget-friendly travel tips and experiences abroad with the hope of encouraging other first-gens to explore the world.
